The pillar and support of the truth

  • We desire to be an oak of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. Oaks take a long time to grow and are not in a hurry.
  • We desire to take whatever time is necessary to lay down deep roots in the deep and nourishing word of God so that we can bring its life giving nutrients to those around us. We will lead people into a deeper and more meaningful relationship to Christ by teaching them to observe all that He has commanded through our systematic exposition (preaching and teaching straight through books of the Bible) and intense exploration of God’s word. We will do God’s will God’s way as found in His word and take the necessary time to build on a foundation of solid rock.
  • We desire to grow strong shoots by growing strong Christ-centered families and Christians who can operate in this world according to God’s revealed will as found in His word. We will not compromise the word of God nor will we compromise with the world. We will stand strong with deep roots and strong shoots and be a pillar and support of the truth, standing against the strong winds of deception and the rising tides of apostasy as we hold forth the word of life.
  • We desire to produce righteous fruit by trusting the Lord with all our hearts and not leaning on our own understanding so that He accomplishes His will His way and brings about spiritual revival and renewal through us. We will do whatever our Lord says to do, how He says to do it, and when He says to do it. We will allow people to taste and see that the Lord is good as He accomplishes His purposes in our generation and brings glory to His own name. Our duty is to abide in Him and His word – He will produce the fruit – and it will remain!
